Cooking with locally grown ingredients $30 One Evening (16+) April 29 7:00 - 9:00 pm Marion Graham School Home Ec. Lab
Silverwood Heights Community Association is pleased to offer a cooking class that will teach you how to cook with and source locally grown ingredients. Chef Jenni will teach you how to cook a four course, local ingredient meal including an appetizer, soup, main course and dessert. (Chef Jenni)
Dedicated Stretch 16+ April 17, 7:15 - 8:15 pm St. Angela School gym $5 One evening
This class will concentrate on flexibility through deep stretch technique. Round out your fitness regime with this fundamental component of total body fitness and health. (K-Rush Fit)
Learn to Run 16+ April 20 - June 22 6:00 - 7:00 pm St. Angela School (boot room) $35 No class on May 18
This session is intended for those new to running, or those who would like to get back into the sport. We will utilize the run/walk interval method to safely build to participation in the Bridge City Boogie. You will not be left behind as you gradually build endurance. You will need a good pair of running shoes, and if you are a woman, a good quality, supportive, sports bra. When the weather is fine, we will be running in the neighborhood. If the trails are dry,and as weather permits, expect to try out some trail running. (K-Rush Fit)
Tip #1: Do drink several cups of water through the day before the run to make sure that you are well hydrated and able to sustain your run.
Tip #2: Do not eat within 1.5 hours prior to the Learn to Run class.
Tip #3: Do expect to learn to love to run!

How many times have you gone to the courts and started playing with regular balls and spent more time picking up balls than actually playing? Well why not join the new wave of playing tennis. This program run by a nationally certified Tennis Canada instructor will have you playing fun social games in one lesson. Learn a sport that can be played by all ages, enjoyed as a family or with friends, and give you life-long enjoyment. This program will be run at the same time as the ages 5-12 Tennis class. Irish Dance, Beginner 5-10 years Wednesday, April 13 - June 22 5:30 - 6:15 pm

This class will focus on teaching the basic skills involved in traditional Irish dancing. The material learned will include solo dancing and traditional group or "ceili" dancing, and instruction regarding proper technique for both will be provided by a local dancer who is currently competing at an international level; the solo dancing material will be provided by the Blakely School of Irish Dance.
Aspiring dancers ages 5-10 are invited to enroll, and no equipment besides light running shoes is necessary! (Danica)
