SPORTS FIELDS ARE SCHEDULED TO OPEN SOON

CITY OF SASKATOON SPORTS FIELDS ARE SCHEDULED TO OPEN FOR THE SEASON EARLIER THAN ANTICIPATED The City of Saskatoon sports fields, including multi-purpose, green space, and softball and baseball diamonds are scheduled to open earlier than originally anticipated due to the recent warm weather and windy conditions.

All fields, with the exceptions of James Girgulis Diamonds No. 1, 2, 3, 4, and Parc Canada Diamond No. 3, will be available for league and tournament play beginning Thursday, May 9, 2013.  The diamonds at James Girgulis Park and Diamond No. 3 at Parc Canada Park will be available starting Monday, May 13, 2013.

All user contracts will be adjusted to reflect the new start dates.  Please call the Allocations Office at 306-975-3366 to book fields for practice, league, and tournament play.  All league and tournament play will take precedence over practice times.

Weather permitting, the painting of lines on sports fields will be completed over the next two weeks.
