Civic Services on Friday, November 11 - Remembrance Day

Here is a list of the civic services and facilities available on Friday, November 11, 2011:

  • City Hall will be closed.
  • Parking meters will not require payment. Motorists are required to move their vehicles within the time period shown on parking meters, allowing for a constant turnover of parking availability.
  • The Municipal Impound Lot will not be releasing vehicles to the public.
  • All branches of the Saskatoon Public Library will be closed.
  • The Saskatoon Landfill will be open with regular winter hours of 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • The Mendel Art Gallery and Saskatoon Civic Conservatory is open from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Admission is free.

Transit Services

  • Transit service will be provided as regular Sunday/Holiday Service.
  • Saskatoon Transit will provide complimentary bus transportation to the Remembrance Day Ceremonies at Credit Union Centre on Friday, November 11, starting at 9:00 a.m. from the 23rd Street westbound bus stop in front of Second Avenue Lofts. Buses will depart every 15 minutes, with the last bus leaving at 10:15 a.m. Return trips will begin immediately following the close of ceremonies.
  • Access Transit will be provided and operate as regular Holiday Service from 8:15 a.m. to 11:45 p.m. Normal booking procedures will apply. Customers are reminded that subscriptions do not apply on statutory holidays.

  • Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park: 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • Saskatoon Zoo: 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • Cosmo Arena - Public Skate  & Parent & Tot Skate cancelled
  • ACT Arena - Public Skate: 2:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
  • Archibald Arena - Public Skating:  12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
  • Lions Arena - Parent & Tot Skate: 2:30 -3:15 p.m.

*Rink rental programming continues as scheduled.
